The MPHD program is an interdepartmental and intercampus program at UCSF. It is open to all UCSF graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are at UCSF and who are interested in microbial pathogenesis. The MPHD program has an NIH T32 training grant that can support some of our most talented students and postdoctoral fellows.
The program is comprised of the following components:
- Weekly seminar series
- Annual Bay Area Microbial Pathogenesis Symposium
- Yearly graduate student elective courses
- A postdoctoral mentoring program that augments the already high caliber of postdoctoral training by matching fellows with an additional mentor separate from their PI (the affiliated graduate students are already cross-mentored through their respective graduate programs).
